Welcome to the website of the PolymerCongress2021: Polymer Science Driven Sustainability. This conference is organised by parties from Belgium and the Netherlands, namely the Belgian Polymer Group, the Bond voor Materialenkennis, the Macromoleculen Division and KNCV.
During this conference, we aim to bring scientists from Belgium and the Netherlands together to discuss frontline research in the field of polymer science. This will be streamlined by a combination of plenary lectures by world-renowned scientists presenting their latest findings, poster presentations and plenty of time for networking opportunities.
With prof. dr. Michael Meier (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), dr. Sylvain Caillol (CNRS) and prof. dr. Steve Howdle (University of Nottingham) the conference features interesting keynote speakers. Furthermore several themes will be discussed during the sessions of the programme. These themes are:
- Additive manufacturing;
- Biomedical applications of polymers
- Industrial and consumer applications of polymers
- Biobased/renewable resources
- Biodegradability & recycling
- Advanced polymer & supramolecular chemistry
